  1. Two days ago, my family had a party at my second uncle's house. There were alot of cakes to eat and games to play. I played after eating my dinner and played with some of my cousins. Then, we went out to celebrate one of my counsin's birthday. After that, I continued playing until it was time to get home.
When I went home, I was very tired. I quickly changed into my pyjamas and brushed my teeth then went to sleep

  7. For myself, the holidays are a good break to catch up with beauty sleep! I guess it's the same for us, where it's a tough time in school, eg nearing exams, we get more tired and need more rest. Similar case for myself, the holidays are much needed breaks to regain energy for the next 2 terms, especially since they will be crucial ones.

Holidays are also a time to attend courses and catch up with the rest of the marking. Just this morning, I went for a Science course, and learnt a number of interesting ways to engage my class when I teach Science. Well, in case you thought that teachers know all there is to know, it really isn't the case. Teachers need to constantly learn too, because the world is changing every day. Yet, learning meaningfully is what makes learning so intriguing! It simply adds colour and significance to what we do.

I hope the rest of you are enjoying your holidays! Will update you some time later on the rest of my holidays... =)

  20. Hi Yu Ning,
Looks like you had a wonderful time with your cousins! Yes, these few days were really blazing hot except for yesterday (15th June) where there was so much wind and it rained at night.

Genting is so far away! Guess it was worth it because of the fun you had with your family.

    Take care! =)

  29. My family went to the beach in Malasia with my grand-parents and my cousin's family. I and my cousin, Justin collected sea shells, played with waves and sand. I and my dad even tried to catch the fish which swam around in the shallow water. On the next day, we did batik paintings and flew kites. It was getting late for dinner. We ate steam boat for dinner( I didn't like it) and went back to our rooms. Although it was already way past my bed time, I and Justin still wanted to play in each other's room. After playing I got very tired and fell sound asleep. It was a fun trip.

  32. Hey Owen,
You ARE smart, and studying smart is a technique. Need to have discipline ok? When exams are over, you can look back and give yourself a pat on your shoulder. You have shown before that you can do it when I give you homework. It would be even better if you can do it in the exams too! =) Approach me if you need to clarify anything regarding English or Maths ok? I'll be glad to re-teach.

  33. Hello Edward,

  35. Perhaps you can find something interesting to do, like fixing a jigsaw puzzle or doing cross-stitch and hanging it in your room after that. Or you could make something for display for your parents? ^^ Maybe you can plan out a list of things to do for the December holidays!

  39. Hello Ms Seow, Sebastian and I celebrated X'mas Eve at Student care. Some of my friends went overseas, so there was only a few of us. I brought some board games there to play(only for girls cause the boys are rough... haha). As we were playing, we waited for our teacher(We have a new teacher who was a retired teacher in his 70s! We were shocked when we heard this news.) After that, we had a so-called buffet and we were full. Then, we had outdoor for a while and went home. But it's quite a boring day. Haha!

  40. Hi Eunice! I didn't know that student care centre opens during the holidays too. =) It is rare to see a retired teacher so elderly. I'm sure he has lots of experience. Did he share many stories about his teaching life?
