ReplyDeleteI read this story called "Yikes,It's A Yeti."I read it in the library.It is written by Karen Wallace and illustrated by Mick Reid. It is about a boy that went camping with his grandmother.He thought that his grandmother was boring but she was not.She brought him to Himalaya Mountains to look for the yati she saw last year.They went to a cave and found it.His grandmother tried to take a picture but she dropped her camera and the boy found a yeti tooth and showed it to his friends

It was about a cross and resentful Tom who,when his brother developed measles,was sent away to stay with his uncle and aunt.They had a small flat,part of an old house near the Fens,and Tom,separeted from Peter and the garden at home where they used to play,knew he was going to be bored and loney there.And at first he was:until he made his strange and wonderful discovery- a discovery that he knew was too fantastic for otherpeopleto belive.Yet it was not until the end of his marvellous adventure that he learned the secret of what really lay behind it.

4) What the book Is all about:
Geronimo Stilton is a newspaper mouse. He lives in New Mouse City, the capital of Mouse Island. He runs a newspaper called The Rodent’s Gazette. He also writes books. One day, when he went back to his mouse hole, his annoying cousin, Trap Stilton, scared him by giving him a surprise visit. He told Geronimo he knew a secret about the Mona Mousa, Mouse Island’s famous painting. So Geronimo told Trap to meet him in the office. The next day, Trap met Geronimo. They were arguing about the money when Geronimo’s sister, Thea, interrupted them. She told them that her boyfriend, Frick Tapioca, who was a museum’s art expert. Frick told Thea that there was another painting beneath the Mona Mousa. He is taking the painting for an x-ray. Geronimo brought Benjamin, his favourite nephew, with them to the museum. There, they met Frick, who gave them a disc. The disc contains the hidden painting underneath the Mona Mousa. The hidden painting shows 11 objects. The Stilton Family found some words which said, ‘‘ELEVEN PLACES ARE YOURS TO FIND. ELEVEN LETTERS YOU MUST COMBINE. ONE SINGLE WORD WILL GIVE YOU THE KEY TO SOLVE THE MYSTERY I GIVE TO THEE.’’ The family began searching for the letters. They also realized that someone was also trying to solve the clue! But soon, the Stilton Family found all the 11 letters. They were all scrambled up. But Geronimo found out the word is LABYRINTHUS! Labyrinthus was an ancient library. The Stilton Family went to a national library and found a book about the Labyrinthus. The book said the Labyrinthus was located at the heart of a town. Thea knew the heart of the town was the Singing Stone Plaza, so she drove the family there. When they went there, they found the Labyrinthus. They also found the mouse who was trying to crack the code, too! A month had gone by. The Labyrinthus turned into a museum. Geronimo wrote a book about the Labyrinthus. Soon, the book was in the bestseller list!
5) Why do I like this book: I like this book because it is funny and adventurous. Geronimo Stilton is also one of my favourite authors.

ReplyDeleteYour story sounds like a real adventure. Reminds me of the adventures of Night at the Museum. Haha... I guess Stilton books are interesting because there are some facts embedded in the story too. :)

greedy.One day,he wanted to eat a little child.So he must go into the forest nearby to get a child.Along the way he bullied many animals.He said he had secret plans and clever tricks too.the animals thought he mean nasty plans and nasty tricks.that was true(what the animals were thnking).The crocodile used all his tricks and plans but none of them work until he used the last trick.He went to a park where people picnic there.He put a bunch of flowers on a table and pretended to be a bench.Later,a family came and sitted on the crocodile. before they could sit a elephant from the jungle came and said,"that's not a bench you're sitting on.its the enormous crocodile and wants to eat all of you up."then the elephant used its trunk to grab the crocodile's tail and swung him fast,and faster and faster still.Suddenly, the elephant let go the crocodile's tail.Soon the crocodile went shooting high up into the sky like a huge green rocket.Up and up he went HIGHER and HIGHER...FASTER and FASTER he was going so fast that he whizzed past many planets until at last...with a tremendous BANG!The enormous crocodile crash headfirst into the hot sun.And he was sizzled up like a sausage!`ruirong~

At the observatory,the profesor said that it is going to be the end of the world. At the morning,there was an earthquake. Tintin was happy and ran to the observatory. The profesor said that he had discovered a new type of metal.A few minutes later, the profesor saw in the newspaper that the shooting star sank in the Artic ocean.Tintin and other profesors went on a search of the shooting star. Tintin discovered that the metal can make small living things big.He also discovered that other people are also searching for the shooting star.

ReplyDeleteFreddy has to ride a bike for the bike-a-thorn to raise money for the local pet shelter. He's made a bet with the bully,Max Sellars that he will ride more laps than Max. But the problem is that Freddy doesn't know how to ride a two wheeler bike. His kind father encouraged him to practise and not to give up.In the end,he beats Max.
I THINK this book is not only HILARIOUS but also there is something that I need to think about-don't just give up without trying.

There was two chidren they couldn't wait for their next mission so theyhurried to the magic tree house.Then Teddy and Kathleen appeared at the tree house,Jack and Annie had now Teddy and Kathleen at mission number i think 19 or 20.Teddy and Kathleen told them about their mission and soon they took the book and said i wish we could go there and soon the tree house spun and spun and soon everything was absolutely still.Then they came down they had came back in the year 1996 and saw a ship and they thought it was pirates again?Pirates had appeared in mission 4 but it wasn't pirates it was some kind of sailers.They comfirm thatit wasn't pirates and they went to talk to them.The sailers said that they are looking for some kind of stuff look like a seashell.Soon they help the sailers and they let them on their ship.they brouht Jack and Annie to their research roomlook like a kitchen they were making peas soup and soon Jack and Annie suddenly made a a mess and was told to get off the ship so the sailers pushed em down to the water and an octupus grabbed them and the sailers saw a octupus they wanted to catch the octupus without noticing that Jack and Annie was grabbed by the octupus well actually it saved Jack and Annie and soon they free the octupus and it left soon it was time to get back so they sailer brought them to shore.

Today, I had read a new book. The title of the book is 'HOLES'. It had been the winner of Newbery Medal, National Book Award and the Christopher Award for Juvenile Fiction. I like this book very much.

"Today you will stay at home and help me." So Simon helped his mother. He ran to the shop and bought butter and brought baby for a walk.
"You have been a sensible boy for once," said his mother, but sometimes he will be very silly and made his mother very crossed. "Well, I am going to do something and baby is falling asleep." When she went up, she called, "Simon, give me my old coat." Simon did not hear that very well. He caught an old goat and said, "I get it for you now." Well, bring the coat up." Simon made a lot of noise and woke the baby. Mother was so angry that she opened the door and looked at Simon. She realised that she was looking at an old goat. Mother was really very crossed.

Hi Ms Seow,i read a book by 'Enid Blyton'.The book name is 'The Magic Silver thread'.This book is about a giant son.One day,a wizard made a spell that can make anything bigger and stronger.Accidentally,his son was an infant so he drank the mixture that the wizard made.The baby started to grow when the spell started to at on him.When he was 4 years old,he was 2 times big of the children of his age.When he was 22 years old,he was extemly big.His head above the clouds and his legsas big as a field.He was very cruel.On winter time he stayed in a cosy cave.The peoples of the town wanted to tie him up so they asked a brownie's help.The brownie asked a smith to do a chain that no one can break it.The smith made the chain free.When the chain was done,the brownie played a game 'tie up'.Tied up the giant with that chain forever .Till now, the giant is tied up.

Once there was a Feefo Village, everybody was excited because the Lord Chamberlain wanted to give each of the pixies and fairies a wishing wand. Goof and Pickle were most excited about it. They sat on a well and started talking about the things they would do with their wishing wand. After a while, they started arguing. Then, they accidentally fell into the water. the started yelling and screaming for help. After a long time,a fairy came and help them and asked them about their wishing wands. They were told by the fairy that they could not get the wishing wand anymore as they were late. Only if they had not fought!
Moral:Teaches us to be humble & to help each other when in trouble times.
